Republic Day Celebrations in the Consulate on 26th January

67th Republic Day of India was celebrated at the Consulate General of India with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony in the morning followed by refreshments, where about 150 Indian nationals attended the ceremony. Consul General of India, Mr. Rajiv K. Chander hoisted the National Flag and read the President's address to the nation, delivered on the eve of the Republic Day. In the evening a reception was held where Hon. Amrik Virk, Minister of Technology, Innovation & Citizens' Services was the Chief Guest. The reception was also attended by Hon. Suzanne Anton, Minister of Justice and MLA for Vancouver-Fraserview and a host of elected members of Vancouver BC, officials from the Canadian Government, diplomats and Indian nationals.
