Consul General Masakui Rungsung along with Consulate officials took the Swachhata pledge as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024. This pledge embodies the spirit of Swachh Bharat, inspiring all to strive for a healthier, more sustainable environment. Let's join forces to make a positive impact!

Consul General attended the inaugural function of International South Asian Film Festival (iSAFF) hosted by the Visaff South Asian Film Festival Society in Surrey. The event was also attended by Manipuri actress Surja Bala Hijam whose movie ‘Boong’ was screened at the opening event.

Consulate General of India in association with its tourism partners viz, Explore India, Satguru Travels and Bains Travel participated in the 7th Vancouver International Travel expo. The event is a major annual tourism show in Canada and attracts large number of visitors with participation more than 200 companies from over 40 countries.

 


Consul General Masakui Rungsung attended the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations organized in collaboration with Thakore Foundation at Simon Fraser University on 2nd October 2024. On the occasion Consul General spoke about the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, his teachings of peace, non-violence, and compassion. That Gandhiji’s vision for a better world continues to inspire us all.


Consul General Masakui Rungsung met with Mr. Peter Scott, President of the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), at the COL Headquarters on October 3, 2024. During the meeting, Mr. Scott and his team provided an overview of COL’s initiatives, highlighting their work across member countries, including significant efforts in education and skill training in India.


Consulate General of India organized an event on 02 October 2024 to commemorate 155th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji at the Consulate premises. Consul General Masakui Rungsung along with other officials offered floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhiji.

India’s UPI expands digital payment reach to the Caribbean: Trinidad & Tobago leads the charge

In a landmark move for digital transformation in the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago has become the first country in the region to adopt India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) platform. India is set to become a major player in semiconductor production as Tata Group partners with Taiwan's PSMC. 330 million mobile phones being manufactured in India a year: Govt

India’s electronics sector is currently employing about 1.2 million people all over the country, as 325 to 330 million mobile phones are being manufactured every year, the government said on Thursday.
