Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is celebrated once in every two years to strengthen the engagement of the overseas Indian community with the Government of India and reconnect them with their cultural roots. The 18th PBD Convention is being held from 8th-10th January, 2025 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The theme of the 18th PBD Convention 2025 is "Diaspora's Contribution to a Viksit Bharat".

Consul General visited the office of HCL Technologies Limited in Vancouver. He was welcomed by the management of HCL Tech, Vancouver and was briefed about the HCL Tech, its operations in Canada and in Western Canada.

Consul General attended the 9th anniversary and Christmas Gala organized by British Columbia-India Business Network (BCIBN) on 16th December in Surrey.

 

 

Consulate General of India, Vancouver hosted an Odisha State focussed promotion event. The event was held in the run up to Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD), 2025 scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar from  8-10 Jan. 2025. Consul General encouraged guests yet again to participate in the PBD 2025. Diaspora artists also performed Odissi dances during the event which was attended by PBD awardee, business leaders, PBD 2025 attendees, community leaders and members of diaspora.
