Consul General Masakui Rungsung joined the Diwali celebrations hosted by the Jain Centre of British Columbia and the Saatvik Diwali event organized by Vedik Sevaks Charitable Society & the Canadian Hindu Chamber of Commerce. In his address, he extended warm Diwali greetings to the diaspora community and emphasized the vital role community associations play in strengthening the bonds between British Columbia and India, while promoting Indian culture and heritage.

Consul General attended the “Grand Diwali Gala” organized by British Columbia-India Business Network(BCIBN) on 25th October. In his remarks as Chief Guest, Consul General spoke about the significance of Diwali, triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. He extended warm greetings of Diwali to members of community and appreciated the role played by community in celebrating festivities of India in Canada.

Consul General attended the 13th Annual Diwali Gala & Awards function organized by 'Times of Canada' on 27th October. In his address, he spoke about the presence of vibrant Indian diaspora in Canada and celebration of festivals by the community members. He extended greeting to the community members on the occasion of Diwali defining its significance of the triumph of good over evil and light dispelling shadow of darkness. He also unveiled the special edition of Times of Canada and presented award during the occasion.

 

CGI Vancouver celebrated the Ayurveda Day, dedicated to recognizing the incredible wisdom of Ayurveda and its contributions to health and well-being. On the occasion Consul General Masakui Rungsung shared insights on the importance of Ayurveda practices in our modern lives. Ayurveda, which translates to “the science of life”, has been practiced for thousands of years, offering a holistic approach to health that emphasizes balance in body, mind, and spirit.

Fostering the spirit of integrity & unity! Consul General Mr. Masakui Rungsung administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge and Integrity Pledge on 30 October as part of Vigilance Awareness Week, to all the members of the consulate.

Consulate in partnership with Ayurveda Association of Canada celebrated 9th Ayurveda Day on 29th October in Vancouver. This year the theme of the Ayurveda was ‘Ayurveda innovation for global health’. Amitabh Ranjan, Consul joined the celebration and briefed the guests that this year the celebration will be in the form of Jan Bhagidari, Jan Sandesh, and Jan Andolan.
