REMEMBERING THE VICTIMS OF AIR INDIA FLIGHT 182
MEMORIAL SERVICE AND SOLIDARITY AGAINST TERRORISM

India stands at the forefront of countering the menace of terrorism and works closely with all nations to tackle this global threat.

23 June 2024 marks the 39th Anniversary of the cowardly terrorist bombing of Air India flight 182 (Kanishka), in which 329 innocent victims, including 86 children, lost their lives in one of the most heinous terror-related air disasters in the history of civil aviation.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 1830 hrs on June 23, 2024, at the Air India Memorial at Stanley Park's Ceperley Playground area. Consulate General of India in Vancouver encourages members of the Indian Diaspora to join the event in a show of solidarity against terrorism.

Consul General visited Hy-Fcell Canada 2024, an International Conference and Trade Fair hosted in Vancouver providing opportunities to meet and discuss the latest developments related to hydrogen and fuel cells.

Hydrogen Association of India and Shigan Quantum Technologies Limited are participating in the Fair from India.

Consul General met their representatives and was briefed about the companies and the opportunities available in India in cleantech energy and proposed collaboration in the field of Clean Energy.

 

 

 

 

Consul General was pleased to meet with Team ICICI Bank Canada in the greater Vancouver area. They briefed Consul General about the activities of ICICI Bank in Canada and various services offered to its consumer and playing important role in India-Canada economic corridor.
