Consul General Manish visited the Gurudwara Gursikh Society in Mission on 16 February 2024. He was warmly received by board members of Gurudwara. Consul General paid obeisance and offered prayers at the Gurudwara & interacted with the Sikh community leaders.

 

 

Consul General Manish met with the Executive Management Team of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) led by Mr Gordon J. Fyfe, Chief Executive Officer / Chief Investment Officer in Victoria. Discussion focussed on India opportunities for BCI and the plans of BCI for deploying their funds in India. BCI has already deployed its capital in India in the infrastructure space.

 

Consul General Manish participated in the India Day celebrations organized by Council of India Societies of Edmonton (CISE) on 18 Feb 2024 at Edmonton to celebrate 75 Republic Day of India. In his keynote address Consul General highlighted the transformation taking place in India in all fields and the role Indian community can play in development process of India. He also lauded the role of CISE in bringing together under one umbrella various community groups in Edmonton. The celebrations showcased the rich cultural heritage of India and recognized the achievements of youth.
