IMPORTANT Instructions for Booking Online Appointment with the Consulate


  • With effect from 02 January 2024, applications for all attestation services including attestation of Power of Attorney, civil and commercial documents are to be submitted to BLS International Services Inc. For further details please see their website blsindia-canada.com
  • Appointment with the Consulate is only for: Birth/Death Registration, NOCs for transportation of mortal remains to India, NRI/NORI certificates, Life Certificates etc.
  • Applications for Passport, PCC, Surrender of passport, Visa and OCI should be submitted to BLS directly.
  • Requests for Tatkaal passport applications, Emergency certificates and visa services on emergency situations involving death are to be sought by email only.
  • Request for Tatkaal passports and Emergency Certificates may be made to ppt.vancouver@mea.gov.in.
  • Requests for visa for emergency situations involving death of a close relative may be made to cons2.vancouver@mea.gov.in. All other visa applications are to be submitted to BLS.
  • Please ensure to complete the application for the requisite service along with supporting documents & applicable fee before you visit the Consulate on the appointed date.
  • You shall be allowed to enter only at the time and date of your appointment. Each applicant needs to take separate appointment.
  • No accompanying person shall be allowed to enter into the Consulate. However, applicants older than 70 years and those who are differently abled would be permitted to be accompanied by one person.
  • Applicant is required to come to Consulate along with print out of the appointment confirmation.
  • No bags, baggage, suitcases and electronic/mobile devices are allowed inside the Consulate premises.
  • Applicants must make their own arrangement for storage of the above outside the Consulate premises.
